the bachelorette shennanigans were way too fun.

although i'm not technically married into the family yet, jesse already seems like my sis.

so lucky to have met her and i'm truly so lucky to be able to have her as my future sister-in-law.

can't wait to have children, girls nights, christmas mornings, and all things family with you sis.

i've been trying to earn/inherit my dads green thumb.

someday i want a garden with a greenhouse, straight rows, raised beds, grafting, and year-round you-pick for all my family and friends just like his. 

in efforts to learn the tricks of the trade and earn my stripes, i spent a good amount of time with him.

i also planted a sweet rosemary and spearmint pot for my apartment deck

(to roast with my veggies and put in my water, respectively).

i seriously love nurseries, dirt, fresh veggies, and sunny garden days at home.

nothing better than rosemary smelling hands, dirt between your toes, fresh carrots in your belly, and hose water to freeze your dirty hands.

and this my friends... is as green as it gets.

fabulous thanksgiving week and a great kick-off to the christmas season.

dine-in poor grad school dates with movies, snuggling, and yummy fall dessert.

a massive thanksgiving feast with all of the family.

a highly successful 'black friday' and my traditional first peppermint mocha of the season.

family night out at the new granada for some bubbly and birthday celebrations.

sunday morning avila beach family walk with coffee.

cousins crafting day to kick-off the holiday season.

how was your thanksgiving week? full of family and food? 

needing a detox? me too.

ringing in the season.

every year, after we finish our thanksgiving feast,

we clear all of the dishes, take a walk, a brief nap, and then...

christmas music!

we turn it on, wash dishes, play games, and sing along to ring in the christmas season!

after some singing and game playing,

we dive right back into the feast and have the greatest 'leftovers' dinner

while we watch a christmas movie on the big projector screen.

the movie is usually one of the following.
and by usually, i mean it is always elf (duh).

included a few of my other all time favorite, must watch, never get old christmas movies too.

here are a few snapshots of my life these past few weeks.

commuting and working (student nursing). 1/3 done with nursing school!

 time with my super six. love you all.

a whole lot of olympic time. and yes that is a screen shot of the tv- those four couldn't be passed up.

 

 strolling thru the good ol' slo and enjoying a warm summer farmers night.

spent some great quality (super fun and relaxing) time with this little physical therapist. so cute.

you shouldn't be shocked by now that i have pictures of my foodie outings. yummm.

 the most colorful dump run ever. goodbye crapola of walnut. you have served us all too well.

 lounging poolside with B. nothing better than magazines, pool games, snacks, slurpies, and the boy!

 had the pleasure of attending some dear friends wedding (B was in it looking handsome). congrats j+k!

 celebrated the BIG 5 YEARS with my B!

no big deal, just my home.

home sweet home. yummy meals, great coffee, family time, shark week, backyard parties, you name it.
